The world’s fastest electric boat, the speedboat ‘Concept Cigarette AMG Electric Drive,’ was unveiled at the Miami International Boat Show, resulting from a collaboration between Mercedes AMG and Cigarette Racing.
From where does the cigarette boat derive its name? The name ‘Cigarette Boat,’ really does harbor a connection with the tobacco product. These notably fast boats formerly served as transportation for cigarette smuggle between Canada and the US.
What’s a Rum Runner? The equivalent of a cigarette boat in the Carribean. Of course, instead of cigarettes, it was Rum that was being smuggled.
More space! The number of registered boats in the entirety of Switzerland saw a reduction of 6,000 within the past 20 years, falling to a total number of 99,000. Since 2007, as a result of population increase such as the nautically enthused who wandered to areas such as the Canton of Schwyz, these numbers have witnessed a slow rise.
